Wednesday 12th November 1919

A pension award was made in the case of the Pte. Thomas Laytham (see 23rd May), who had been been discharged to the Army Reserve Class Z in March; he was diagnosed as suffering from ‘orchitis, traumatic’ (inflammation of the testicles, due to injury) and, being considered to have suffered a temporary 20% disability, was awarded 5.s 6d. per week, for one year only. 

A package of personal effects belonging to the late Pte. Matthew Henry Jubb (see 1st November), who had died of wounds behind German lines in April 1918, while serving with 1st/4th DWR, was despatched to his widow; the parcel comprised of “wallet, photos, letters”.

Payment of an £8 10s. war gratuity was authorised in respect of the late L.Sgt. Albert Bradley (see 8th Jaunary 1918), who had died of wounds in October 1917; the payment would go to his mother, Elizabeth.

Payment of an £11 10s. war gratuity was authorised in respect of the late Pte. Albert Edward Dury (see 6th April 1918) who had been killed in action in October 1916; the payment would go to his mother, Sarah.
