Pte. Charles William Hird
(see 9th October), who had
been in England since having been wounded in August while serving in France
with 2DWR, was posted to 3DWR at North Shields.
2Lt. Thomas Walsh
(see 12th October), who had
been in England since October having been taken ill while serving with 2DWR,
was declared permanently unfit for further service.
A pension award was made in the case of the late Pte. Herbert Farrand Hogley (see 27th September), who had
been killed in action on 23rd June, while serving with 2DWR; his
widow, Florence, was awarded 20s. 5d. per week for herself and her son.
