Pte. Arthur Walton
(see 12th May) suffered
contusions to his neck and back in an accident (details unknown) whilst on
duty; he would be admitted via 70th Field Ambulance and 24th
Casualty Clearing Station to 11th General Hospital in Genoa.
Pte. George Towler
Brown (see 22nd June)
re-joined the Battalion from 48th Division Rest Station.2Lt. Aidan Nicholson (see 4th June), who had left the Battalion a month previously, suffering from broncho-pneumonia, was evacuated to England from Le Havre onboard the Hospital Ship Gilford Castle. He would be examined by a Medical Board in Worsley, Manchester, four days later and awarded one months’ sick leave.

Pte. John Stenson
(see 26th September 1917) was
discharged from 5th Northern General Hospital in Leicester; he would
have one week’s sick leave before reporting to the Regimental Depot in Halifax.
