L.Sgt. George Heeley
(see 21st June) and Pte. John Henry Evison (see 21st June) who had been wounded on 21st
June, were transferred from 38th General Hospital in Genoa to 57th
General Hospital in Marseilles. Pte. Percy Burrows (see 21st
June), who had also been wounded on 21st June, was also
transferred from 38th Stationary Hospital in Genoa, but he would be
admitted to 81st
General Hospital in Marseilles. Pte. James Pidgeley (see 21st
June) who had also been wounded on 21st June, was transferred
from 11th
General Hospital in Genoa to 81st General Hospital in Marseilles.
Pte. John Foster
(see 17th June), serving in
France with 2/7th DWR, was transferred via 29th
Casualty Clearing Station to 3rd Stationary Hospital at Rouen; he
was now diagnosed as suffering from “I.C.T.” (Inflammation of the connective
tissue) to his legs.
Pte. William Postill
Taylor (see 22nd June),
serving with 3DWR at North Shields, was reported absent without leave; he would
report back to duty at 4.30pm on 6th July. He would be ordered to
undergo four days’ Field Punishment No.2.
