Herman Tutty (see 26th August) and Ptes. Henry Fielding (see 10th
March), Joseph Hartley (see 26th August), Lancelot Johnson (see 11th May) and John
Chadwick Taylor (see 7th
July )serving with 8th Yorks. and Lancs. at Fiume, completed and
signed their ‘Statement as to Disability’ forms prior to being posted to England
for demobilization. They would depart for England within days, though the
precise date is unknown.
Payment of an £8 war gratuity was authorised in respect of
the late Pte. Claude Smith Slater (see 9th October 1916), who
had died of wounds in July 1916. The payment would go to his widowed mother,
Annie.
