Thursday 12th June 1919

Pte. Herbert Newton (see 22^nd February), serving with 3DWR at North Shields, was transferred to the King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry; however, the transfer order would be rescinded two weeks later and he would remain with 3DWR.

Lt. Cecil Edward Merryweather (see 7^th February 1917), who had been serving with the RFA, relinquished his commission on grounds of ill health.

A payment of £240 12s. 9d. was authorised, being the amount due in pay and allowances to the late Capt. Bob Perks DSO (see 24^th April), who had been killed in action in October 1918; the payment would go to his father, Thomas.
