England.
Pte. George Green
(22749) (see 15th September)
was admitted via 70th Field Ambulance to 23rd Division
Rest Station; he was suffering from “I.C.T.” (Inflammation of the connective
tissue) to his left thigh. He would be discharged and re-join the Battalion
after one week.
Pte. Joseph Holmes
(see 27th October), who
had been wounded on 27th October, was discharged from hospital
(details unknown) and posted to the Base Depot at Arquata Scrivia.
Pte. George Smith
(25950) (see 27th October),
who had been wounded on 27th October, was evacuated to England; the
details of his treatment are unknown.
Pte. John Newton
(see 10th November) was
evacuated to England from 57th General Hospital in Marseilles; on
arrival in England he would be admitted to the London War Hospital, Woolwich.
