John Edward Emmott (see 5th August), serving with 2nd Battalion,
Duke of Wellington’s (West Riding) Regiment, left England for France. His two
brothers, William Hartley Emmott and Tom Emmott, would both serve with Gilbert Tunstill’s
Company.
