was reported by Sgt. Pollard as ‘late falling in for parade at 7am’; on the
orders of Capt. Gilbert Tunstill (see 8th May), he was confined
to barracks for three days.

Corporal Edgar Shuttleworth
(see 6th April) who had originally served with Tunstill’s Company
before being transferred to ‘D’ Company was reprimanded by Lt. Col. Bartholomew
for, ‘neglect of duty when Acting Company Orderly Sergeant’; his conduct having
been witnessed and reported by 2Lt. Taylor and Lance Corporal Simpson.
