Ptes. Thomas Henry Bennett (see 1^st December), Tom Clay (see 1^st December), Joseph Harpin (see 14^th September) and James Frederick Palmer (see 14^th September), were officially transferred to the Army Reserve Class Z.

Pte. Herbert Newton (see 16^th October), who had been transferred to the Army Reserve Class Z in October, wrote to the Infantry Records Office in York; “When I was demobilized from the Army they omitted to give me a character (reference), so, as I was in four different Battalions of the West Riding Regiment, I am writing to ask you to kindly forward one to the above address and oblige”.

Payment of a £6 10s. war gratuity was authorised in respect of the late L.Cpl. John Cork (see 2^nd December 1917), who had been killed in action in August 1917 while serving with 2DWR; the payment would go to his father, Fred.
