While serving with the Irish Guards at Caterham, Surrey Pte.
Michael Cooney MM (see 19th September 1918) (it is not
known when, or under what circumstances he had been transferred from 10DWR) was
tried by Field General Court Martial on a charge of desertion; he was found
guilty and was sentenced to 28 days detention.
