Scott (see 3rd November
1917) was posted back to England; he was suffering from bronchitis, but the
details of his medical treatment are unknown.
Pte. Harold Walker
Bray (see 21st November
1917), who had been wounded in November 1917 while serving with 2/6thDWR,
was posted back to England.
Sgt. Wilson Allinson
(see 2nd December 1917), L.Sgt.
Albert Earnshaw (see 26th November 1917), L.Cpl.
Frank Mallinson MM (see 30th November 1917) and Ptes.
Joseph Leonard Holmes (see 20th November 1917), Henry Charles Lindsay (see 11th June 1917) and Ernest Smith (29167) (see 13th September 1917) were posted from
Northern Command Depot at Ripon to 3DWR at North Shields.
A payment of £1 14s. 1d. was authorised, being the amount
due in pay and allowances to the late Pte. John
(Jack) Williams (see 20th September
1917), who had died of wounds on 20th September 1917; the
payment would go to his mother, Elizabeth. She would also receive a parcel of
his personal effects comprising of, “disc, letters, photos, wallet, testament,
cigarette case, silver wristlet watch and protector, diary, cap badge, 2 stamps
(½d.), 1d. stamp, cotton bag”.
