Training continued.
Former 10DWR CO, Lt. Col. Robert Raymer (see 24th August
1917) was promoted Temporary Lieutenant Colonel and given command of 10th
Officer Cadet Battalion.
2Lt. Wilfred
Frederick John Thomson (see 29th
October 1917), was discharged from Brighton Grove Military Hospital,
Newcastle-on-Tyne, after ten weeks treatment for gonorrhoea. He was posted back
to 3DWR at North Shields and would later serve with 10DWR.
Pte. Arthur Hall (see 30th June 1917), who had been serving in England 520th (Home Service) Employment Company, Labour Corps, was transferred to the Royal Flying Corps, with whom he would serve in England.
A payment of 13s. 4d. was authorised, being the amount due
in pay and allowances to the late Pte. Joseph
Binns MM (24162) (see 22nd
September1917), who had died of wounds on 22nd September 1917;
the payment would go to his mother, Hannah.Pte. Arthur Hall (see 30th June 1917), who had been serving in England 520th (Home Service) Employment Company, Labour Corps, was transferred to the Royal Flying Corps, with whom he would serve in England.
A payment of £1 11s. 6d. was authorised, being the amount
due in pay and allowances to the late Pte. Harry
Bradshaw (see 20th
September 1917), who had been killed in action on 20th September
1917; the payment would go to his father, Harry. His father would also receive
a parcel of his personal effects comprising of, “wallet, wristlet watch, strap,
guard, letters, photos, cards, New Testament, pouch, certificate”.
A payment of £13 was authorised, being the amount due in pay
and allowances to the late Pte. Percival
James (Percy) Pemberton (see 20th
September 1917), who had been killed in action on 20th September
1917; the payment would go to his widow, Alice.
