Sunday 18th April 1915

In his sermon at Gisburn Parish Church on Sunday morning the Vicar (Rev. John Heslop) referred to the  death of Private John Robinson (see 13^th April) . He said, “that although Private Robinson had not died actually fighting he was nevertheless doing his duty and serving his country, and the sympathy of the whole village went out to his bereaved parents and family”.
