Tunstill's Company remained in their temporary billets in Maidstone, from where they worked on the construction of the outer defences of London.
Pte. Michael Hopkins
was ordered to be deprived of seven days’ pay; the nature of his offence is
unknown. He had enlisted in Bradford on21st September 1914, aged 22 and had
been working as a dyers’ labourer.
