Tuesday 29th December 1914

Charles Belton Eyre (see 12th September) was examined by Medical Officer Lt. J. Jack; his report indicated that Charlie Eyre, “has a bad varicocele, which gives him a lot of trouble” (a varicocele is 'an enlargement of the veins of the spermatic cord or those of the scrotum) and he recommended that Eyre be discharged.
