A fine day.
After spending ten days in hospital (cause unknown) L.Cpl. Frank Wood (see 3rd October) was discharged to duty.
Pte. Frederick
Fielden (see 20th
September), who had been severely wounded on 20th September, was
evacuated to England, travelling onboard the Hospital Ship Jan Breydell. On arrival in England he would be admitted to
Edmonton War Hospital in London.
Pte. Ernest Wilson (11751)
(see 13th September) was posted
from 14th Convalescent Depot at Trouville to 34th
Infantry Base Depot at Etaples; four days later he would re-join 10DWR.
A/L.Cpl. Daniel Nicholls (see 29th
August), serving in France with 2nd (Garrison) Battalion King’s
Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, was admitted, via 20th Casualty
Clearing Station and No.3 Ambulance Train, to 5th General Hospital
in Rouen. He had developed an abscess to
his thigh related to the wounds he had suffered in September 1915.
