At home in Burnsall, Molly Birch, wife of Pte. Henry Birch, gave birth to the couple’s fourth child; he would be named Christopher Henry. Henry Birch had enlisted in Skipton on 8^th September 1914; he was 33 years old and had worked as a joiner and roadman.
