Elizabeth Westle, mother of the late Pte. Edward Westle (see 9^th January), who had died of wounds in September 1917, died, aged 54. Her daughter, Agnes, would apply for a continuation of the pension payments which had been awarded to her mother in respect of Edward and his brother, George, who had also been killed, but her application would be rejected.
