A very hot day.
Shortly after 2.30pm the Battalion marched to Godawaersvelde
Station and thence by train at 4.30pm to Ouderdom, arriving at 5.40pm, before
marching back to Micmac Camp, between Dickebusch and Ouderdom.

Leiper Long (see 13th
September 1916) departed foe England on ten days’ leave.
After spending a week at 6th Convalescent Depot at Etaples,
Pte. Smith Stephenson Whitaker (see 5th July), who had been
wounded on 7th June, was transferred to 34th Infantry
Base Depot at Etaples, en route to a return to active service.
Pte. Matthew Henry
Jubb (see 7th June)
who, on 7th June, had suffered severe wounds to his head, shoulder
and left side and had been treated at the St John Ambulance Brigade Hospital at
Etaples, was evacuated to England.
2Lt. John Davis MM (see 13th June), who had been
under medical treatment in England since having been wounded on 7th
June, appeared before a Medical Board which found him fit for light duties at
home.
