Sunday 17th June 1917


Le Coq de Pailie, close to Berthen

A fine and hot day, with Church parade at 10am. 
Pte. William Kay (see 7th June) who had suffered severe wounds to his abdomen and right thigh on 7th June; was evacuated back to England from 2nd Canadian General Hospital at Le Treport. 
Pte. Lewis Walton (see 15th March), serving with 1DWR in India, was admitted to hospital in Gharial, suffering from scabies.


Spr. Alfred John Davis (see 30th May) was posted back to France; he would join 179th Tunnelling Company, Royal Engineers.
