Wednesday 28th April 1915

Tunstill's Company remained in their temporary billets in Maidstone, from where they worked on the construction of the outer defences of London.

L.Cpl. Charles Thomas Mitchell (see 7th April) began to be paid as Lance Corporal, having held the rank unpaid for the previous three weeks.
