Arthur Metcalfe (elder brother of Tunstills Man, Albert Metcalfe of Cowling) embarked for France, landing next day at Le Havre, with 2
nd
Battalion Royal Munster Fusiliers. As a bandsman, whilst on active service he would serve as a stretcher bearer.
