Thursday 1st April 1920

A number of men who had served as officers, either with 10DWR or having served in the ranks with the battalion, formally relinquished their commissions; they were Lts. Fred Baume (see 3^rd April 1919) (he was granted the rank of Captain, having held an Acting Captaincy during the war), Leopold Henry Burrow (see 20^th October 1919), Ernest Cyril Coke (see 1^st April 1919) (he was granted the rank of Captain, having held an Acting Captaincy during the war), Ronald Ferguson (see 22^nd July 1919), George Wallace Fricker (see 4^th April 1919), Philip Howard Morris (see 21^st January 1919), John Redington (see 21^st January 1919), and Thomas Arnold Woodcock (see 30^th January 1919).

Wednesday 31st March 1920

The Army Reserve Class Z, which had been authorised in December 1918 as a means of retaining a reserve of demobilized men who could be swiftly recalled in the event of a resumption of hostilities, was abolished. As a result more than 1,100 men who had served with 10DWR were finally and formally discharged from the Army.

A number of men who had been serving with the Royal Munster Fusiliers were also recorded as having been ‘discharged on demobilization’; these included Cpl. Lawrence William Hinchcliffe (see 25^th April 1919) and Ptes. George Edmund Hockley (see 25^th April 1919), Willie Lee (see 25^th April 1919), Albert Leeson (see 25^th April 1919), Adam Shore (see 25^th April 1919), Samuel Slone (see 25^th April 1919), George William Tombs (see 25^th April 1919) and Arthur J. Webb (see 25^th April 1919).

Monday 29th March 1920

Maj. Robert Harwar Gill DSO (see 17^th March), who was on leave having been under treatment at 3^rd London General Hospital, Wandsworth, on account of wounds he had suffered in October 1918, appeared before an Army Medical Board assembled at York; the Board granted him a further one month extension of his current leave.

Saturday 27th March 1920

Sgt. John Stewart (see 30^th December 1919), serving in France at the Chinese Labour Corps Depot at Noyelles sur Mer, was posted to China; the details of this posting are unknown but it was presumably in connection with the return labourers to China.
